Preceptor Program: Building the Next Generation of Pharmacy Professionals

Stockmen’s Drug is proud to host a comprehensive Preceptor Program designed to support the growth and education of future pharmacy professionals. In partnership with the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC), Lakota Tech High School on the Pine Ridge Reservation, and the University of Wyoming, we offer valuable opportunities for students to gain real-world experience in a community pharmacy setting. This program allows participants to engage directly with patients, learn about pharmacy operations, and develop the skills necessary for a successful career in healthcare.

Our Preceptor Program offers two distinct tracks: internships for individuals 18 years or older and shadowing opportunities for younger students under 18. Interns gain hands-on experience working alongside our pharmacists and staff, while high school students can explore the pharmacy field through observation and mentorship. This program reflects Stockmen’s Drug’s ongoing commitment to education, community engagement, and the development of the next generation of healthcare professionals.

If you are interested in an internship or shadowing at one of our locations, feel free to contact us to learn more.
